UDHAMPUR, Oct 10: A free eye camp was orgainsed by Rotary Club Udhampur in collaboration with Rotary Eye and ENT Hospital, Udhampur at Hari Prabhu Ashray Gujroo, Nagrota, district Kathua.
The camp was organised on World Sight Day under the Rotary initiative for prevention of blindness and to provide gift of sight to the poor and needy patients suffering with cataract blindness in the rural and remote area.
Medical team from Rotary Eye and ENT Hospital, Udhampur led by Dr Manoj Yadav, chief ophthalmic surgeon, examined the patients. More than 130 patients were checked up, out of which 25 patients were screened for implantation of IOL which will be implanted free of cost in Rotary Eye and ENT Hospital, Udhampur.
The eye camp was sponsored by State Bank of India, Ramkot branch which arranged all the medicines and spectacles required during the camp.
