Excelsior Correspondent BILLAWAR, Dec 10: A free eye checkup camp was organised by ASCOMS in collaboration with Batra Hospital, Sidhra, at Sri Hari Prabhu Ashray in Nagrota Gujroo, here today. The aim of the camp was to provide better health care facilities to the people living in remote and hilly areas. During the camp, a team of doctors including, Priyanka SR and ophthalmic assistants, Kamal Sharma and Sushma Choudhary led by Dr P Sadhotra, HoD, Opthalmology, ASCOMS, checked up 180 patients including 30 girl students of Government Middle School Nagrota Gujroo. Out of these patients, 25 were referred and screened for cataract surgery, which will be done free of cost at ASCOMS. Sanstha provided free transportation for such identified patients for their operation at ASCOMS. Besides, Sanstha also provided free medicines and free spectacles to patients having visionary problem.
