JAMMU, May 5: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Miran Sahib area have arrested a fraudster for issuing fake Government appointment orders.
A police official said that acting on a complaint lodged on May 2 regarding an individual issuing fake appointment orders, an FIR number 58/2025 under sections 318(3), 336(3), 336(4), and 340(2) of the BNS was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation of the case entrusted to a police team led by SHO Miran Sahib, Jai Paul Sharma.
Accordingly, he said, the investigating team arrested the accused identified as Tej Bushan Sharma of Lower Gadi Garh.
On detailed questioning, the police team recovered multiple fake appointment orders, forged official stamps, a desktop computer, and Rs 2.5 lakh in cash from the possession of the accused, he said.
Further investigation is ongoing to uncover more details of the racket, added the police official.
