UDHAMPUR, July 2: Senior Trade Union leader Som Nath today urged upon the UT Administration led by Lt Governor, G C Murmu to frame a comprehensive policy for the regularisation of daily wagers/ consolidated workers of PHE department.
Speaking in a meeting of the Water Workers (PHE) Employees Association at PHE Complex here today, Som Nath criticised the State PHE authorities for not releasing the wages of the PHE workers for the last about 58 months. He said the workers as well as their families are facing starvation.
The Trade Union leader pointed out that PHE daily wagers/ ITI Diploma holders and consolidated workers are protesting for the last many months but the Government is turning deaf ear towards their plight.
