SAMBA, Feb 24: In a crackdown on illegal mining, Samba Police have seized four vehicles, including three dumpers and a tractor trolley, that were being used for unauthorized transportation of construction material. The seizures took place within the jurisdictions of Police Stations Samba and Ghagwal.
Police teams led by SHO Police Station Samba, Incharge Police Post Rakh Amb Talli, Incharge Police Post Mansar (under PS Samba), and Incharge Police Post Rajpura (under PS Ghagwal) intercepted the vehicles during routine patrolling. The seized vehicles include three dumpers bearing registration numbers JK08G-3273, JK02CL-7059, JK21J-6386 and a tractor trolley with registration number JK21J-7079.
Following the seizure, the vehicles have been handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal proceedings.
