Four make abortive attempts on life

JAMMU, Jan 23: Four persons including a young girl and two women today made abortive bids on their lives by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences in city and its outskirts.
According to police sources, a married woman namely Rajni Kour (18) wife of Amandeep Singh, a resident of Nanak Nagar today consumed some poisonous substance at her residence following which she was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
Similarly, another woman identified as Rajni Devi (18) wife of Rinku, a resident of Sujalpur (Nagbani) also consumed some poisonous substance at her residence. She was also shifted to GMCH by the family members.
In another case under the jurisdiction of police post Digiana, a young girl identified as Shivani (18) daughter of Ashok Kumar, a resident of Sanjay Nagar (Jammu) consumed poisonous substance after which she was shifted to GMCH by his family members.
A youth identified as Vikas Singh (22) son of Balbir Singh of Qasim Nagar also tried to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence following which he was shifted to GMCH for treatment.
The condition of all the four persons was stated to be stable till the last reports came in. In all the cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
