Four injured in assault

JAMMU, Apr 6: Four persons of two families were injured last night when over some minor issue, they attacked each other with stones and lathies.
According to a police spokesman, in Preetam Nagar area of Paloura falling within the jurisdiction of police station Janipur, two neighbour families entered into an altercation over some minor issue. The altercation soon took a violent turn and both attacked each other with stones and lathies.
In the attack, Hardev Singh (54) son of Sandal Singh, a resident of Paloura, his wife Madhu (50) and their daughter, Veeni (26) got injured and were shifted to Government Hospital Sarwal, from where they were later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu. Another man identified as Dr Arun son of Subhash, a resident of Paloura, from other family was also injured and shifted to hospital for treatment.
In this connection, a case was registered at police station Janipur and further investigations were underway.
