RAMBAN, June 5: Four persons were injured after a rashly driven van fell into a gorge near Amar Chasma in Batote area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway this afternoon.
Police sources said, a rashly driven van bearing registration number JK06-5724 on its way to Batote from Patnitop went out of control of its driver and fell into a gorge near Amar Chasma (Batote) resulting into injuries to four passengers traveling in the vehicle.
Sources said injured persons were rushed to the CHC Batote for treatment where after providing medical aid, two critically wounded persons namely Pawan Kumar (60) son of Dwarka Nath and Tirath Kour (56) wife of Lakhwinder Singh, both residents of Tringla (Batote), were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for advance treatment.
“The other two injured persons were identified as Deep Kour (28) daughter of Lakhwinder Singh and Koshliya Devi (35) wife of Rattan Lal, both residents of Batote. They were responding to the treatment at CHC Batote. Driver Subash Chandra son of Dwarka Nath, resident of Tringla (Batote) and Rattan Lal (41) son of Mansa Ram, resident of Batote are stable,” they added.
Deputy SP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen said a case FIR number 128 under Section 279/337 IPC was registered in this connection at Police Station Batote.
