JAMMU, Jan 14: Police arrested four gamblers along with Rs 2,000 bet money and playing cards from Deeli area, falling under the jurisdiction of Sainik Colony police post.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Sainik Colony police post conducted raid in Deeli area and nabbed four gamblers along with Rs 2,000 stake money and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Ram Parkash, son of Balraj, Raj Bahadur, son of Ram Raj, Ghar Baran, son of Dan Raj and Janku, son of Ram Lakhan, all residents of Deeli.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered against them at Sainik Colony police post investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Sainik Colony police post SI Sandeep Charak made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Channi Himmat police station Inspector Sajad Haider, SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq Manhas, SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
