JAMMU, Dec 2: Police arrested four gamblers along with Rs 3,900 stake money and playing cards from Rajeev Colony area, falling under the jurisdiction of Nehru Market police post.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Nehru Market police post conducted raid in Rajeev Colony area and nabbed four gamblers along with Rs 3,900 stake money and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Ajay Kumar, son of Subhash Chander, a resident of Basohli, Kartar Chand, son of Bijja Ram, Sham Lal, son of Sundar Dass and Prithvi Singh, son of Chajju Singh, trio residents of Rajeev Colony.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered against them at police post Nehru Market and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Nehru Market police post PSI Sumit Magotra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, DySP Operations Vishal Manhas, SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
