JAMMU, Oct 8: Jammu police achieved success by recovering 310 grams of charas and 10 grams of heroin from four drug peddlers during naka checking in the jurisdiction of police station RS Pura.
A naka was laid at Sunderpur near Shamshanghat by a team of police station RS Pura constituted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan. The team led by SHO police station RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma assisted by PSI Aziz Tariq rounded up four suspects who turned suspicious on seeing police naka.
On search, 310 grams of charas and 10 grams of heroin was recovered from possession of suspects who were later identified as Rattan Lal son of Tunda Ram of Old Agra Chak (RS Pura), Rakesh Kumar alias Kukka son of Jagan Nath of RS Pura, Rahul Kumar son of Mohinder Kumar of Parlah Suchetgarh and Vishal Kumar son of Joginder Kumar of Chak Aslam.
In this connection, a case FIR number 199/2021 U/S 8/20/21/22/29 NDPS Act was registered at police station RS Pura and all the accused arrested. The overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SP Headquarters Ramnish Gupta.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
