Four day long World Criminology Conference concludes

JAMMU, June 22: A four day long World Criminology Conference organized by the International Society of Criminology (ISC) was concluded here today.
The theme of the conference “Exploring the Dynamics of Crime: Contemporary Challenges and Innovation in Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice” became all the more important in this unsafe world where there is an increasing possibility of 3rd World war due factors emerging from criminality.
President of Criminologists Society of J&K, Rameshwar Singh Jamwal, presided over two sessions on ‘Sexual Offender Profiling’ and ‘Forensic Psychology and Criminal Profiling’ and presented his concept for a safer world through mass behavioral engineering prgrammes.
While presenting his concept, Jamwal elaborated the Indian Philosophical thought process and techniques, in paving the way for a safer world which was appreciated by many foreign and Indian delegate and was termed as an out of box solutions to modify criminal behaviors.
The Conference was held in the back drop of several wars going on due to terrorism factors and the increasing criminality like drug use, crimes against women, sexual violence, cyber crimes, human trafficking and topics like prison systems and rehabilitation, forensic science and criminal investigations, AI and technology.
Policing and Law enforcement, Legal reforms in Justice systems, Financial Crimes, Hate Crimes, Domestic Violence, Environmental Crimes, Emerging Crime Trends and many related issues were discussed and papers and new concepts to fight all these types of crimes were presented by leading experts from more than twenty five countries and more than 750 experts in the field.
The Conference was attended by many policy planners, senior police officers, academicians, international organizations and individuals.
