Four arrested with large quantity of illicit liquor

JAMMU, Apr 4: Parade and Bahu Fort Police arrested four persons and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor from their possessions.
As per police sources, on specific information teams from Police Post Parade led by SI Lalit Sharma under the supervision of SHO Pacca Danga Inspector Raghubir Singh, SDPO City Sharad Kalu and SP City Kulbir Handa and Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and SP South Mamta Sharma laid checking points in different areas of their jurisdiction and intercepted four persons, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 96 bottles and 10 litres of illicit liquor from the possession of these persons and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Balbir Singh, son of Avtar Singh of Main Stop Janipur, Tarseem Lal, son of Chuni Lal of Lalyal Kanachak, Bhim Lal Yadav, son of Dewan Lal of Patoli and Ajay Kumar, son of Nanaku, a resident of Rajasthan, at present Marathi Mohallah Trikuta Nagar District Jammu.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Stations Pacca Danga and investigation started.
