JAMMU, Dec 21: The foundation laying ceremony for the overhead water tank was held at the Dev Asthan of Bawa Kailakh Dev. The foundation stone was laid by senior BJP leader Anil Gupta in presence of Mahant Rohit Shastri, Shakti Dutt Sharma, Ram Paul, Yash Seth, Raj Dev Singh, Janak Singh, Azgar Ali, Rajat Soodan and other prominent persons. This project is under taken by ERA Company under PHE Department. The total capacity of the tank is 2 lakh gallons and the total cost of this project is around Rs 1.5 crore rupees. The place of Raipur Bantalab being in the kandi belt has always been facing shortage of water supply for domestic as well as well as for commercial purpose and this issue was raised by villagers and household various times. With the construction of the overhead tank, the problems of water crisis will come to an end. For the construction of this overhead tank to mitigate the suffering of the people, the Parbandhak Committee of Shri Bawa Kailakh Devji provides space. This project will not only full fill the demands of the Dev Asthan but also provide continuous water supply to a large number of households with each house of the village gets water via underground pipelines by the latest pressure-system technology that ensures smooth and even distribution of water, with adequate pressure. On the occasion, the Parbandhak Committee also organized langar and distributed various food items among the people.
