NEW DELHI, Aug 21: S Sridhar, the former Chairman and Managing Director of National Housing Bank, has joined Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) South Asia as advisor.
RICS is the world’s leading self regulatory professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property, construction and associated environment issues.
“With effect from August 1, 2012, S Sridhar, former CMD of National Housing Bank and former Chairman of Central Bank of India, is formally associated as “Advisor” to RICS South Asia,” RICS said in a statement.
Sridhar would assist RICS with strategic direction in the areas of skill development, enhancing professional standards and policy advocacy, it added.

Volvo Group today announced the appointment of Philippe Divry as the new Managing Director of Volvo India Pvt Ltd (VIPL) and Senior Vice President of Volvo Group (Truck Joint Ventures India).
As VIPL Managing Director, Divry will oversee the resourcing and optimisation of Volvo Group’s 4000-plus workforce in India and support the growth plans of the Group’s different business areas and functions, the company said in a statement.
He will also be responsible for the overall performance of the truck business in India, it added. (PTI)
