KISHTWAR, Sept 15: Former militant, who was evading his arrest from the past 12 years, has been arrested.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Post Jawalapur led by PSI Moin Khan under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Devinder Singh Bandral raided the suspected locations and arrested the absconder.
The arrested former militant was identified as Nazir Ahmed, son of Noor Mohammad Gorsi, a resident of Budhar Bonjwah District Kishtwar.
He was wanted in a case registered FIR Number 187/2009 under Sections 307 RPC and 7/27 IA Act with Police Station Kishtwar.
Former militant has been lodged in judicial custody on the orders of the Court.
