JAMMU, Apr 6: Dr Radhakrishnan Koppillil, an Advisor of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, along with his ex- colleague, Dr K L Handoo, visited Central University of Jammu here today.
Dr Radhakrishnan interacted with faculty members and students of the university and talked about present and future scenario of Indian Space Programs. He explained about the level difficulties he felt during MARS-mission and how his team overcame it. His major focus was on the space exploration, techniques and applications especially in context to Himalayan region.
He congratulated CUJ Vice Chancellor, Prof Ashok Aima for establishing Centre for Space Sciences and M Tech Programme in Space Sciences & Applications from next academic session.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr K L Handoo emphasized on different types of Launching pad for PSLV, GSLV and others. He also helped in designing course structure of M Tech programme in Space Sciences & Applications.
Prof Ashok Aima also spoke on the occasion and emphasized on Nano Sciences and Molecular sciences in context to space technology. He informed the audience about various science and technological courses started since last one year.
Earlier, Prof S K Khosa, Head Department of Nano Sciences and Materials informed the audience about the development of Nano Sciences and Materials.
