Former IAS officer DN Trisal joins PDP

JAMMU, Nov 17: Prominent social activist and former IAS officer Dwarika Nath Trisal today joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at a function here in presence of noted economist and the party candidate for Rajpora constituency, Dr Haseeb Drabu.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Drabu said if elected, he would rationalize distribution of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) of Rajpora constituency per capita so that all the residents, including Kashmiri migrant Pandits, become equal stakeholders in development of the area.
He also announced constitution of special PDP migrant cell for Rajpora constituency with prominent representatives of the Pandit community from Trisal, Tahab, Monghama, Haal and other villages of the area.
D N Trisal said, the members of the Pandit community from Rajpora constituency would extend wholehearted support to Dr Drabu as the Pulwama area has for the first time got a political representative of such stature who can contribute immensely towards not only the development of the area but the larger welfare of its residents as well.
