Forest Minister seeks report on frequent man-animal conflicts

JAMMU, Mar 16: Taking cognizance of frequent man-animal conflicts and attack of wild animals on pet animals across the State, Minister for Forest, Ecological & Environment, Bali Bhagat has sought a comprehensive report from the Department of Wildlife along with the reasons for such incidents.
After obtaining the detailed report on the subject, the Government will take appropriate steps to curb such incidents in future, said the Minister.
It is pertinent to mention here that frequently the reports are pouring regarding the fatal attacks of wild animals on human beings and pet animals at various places, which has resulted into serious injuries and in some cases deaths. Such incidents have increased manifold during the past few years and have become cause of concern for the Department of Wildlife.
