MENDHAR, June 5: Massive fire broke out in Balnoi forest area near the Line of Control this afternoon.
Reports said the fire started from PoK side and then it started spreading on this side of the LoC. A large number of mines started exploding as the fire went on spreading in 3-4 sq km range. The Army men were busy in fighting fire and containing it because it was posing threat to the defence infrastructure. The deafening sound of mine blasts was coming when the reports reached last here late this evening.
