UDHAMPUR, Nov 17: Forest Division Udhampur evicted over seven kanals of forest land from the encroachers, here today.
An anti encroachment drive was conducted by Forest Department under the direction of Divisional Forest Officer, Udhampur, Jugal Kishore Gupta. .The team of officials of Forest Division Udhampur, led by Range Officer Dudu, Mahesh Abrol along with officers of Forest Protection Force (FPF), removed encroachment at Kud from compartment number. 89/D of Dudu Range and retrieved 7 Kanals and 9 Marla of Forest land. A Pacca hut was also dismantled on the same land, which was illegally constructed by one Vikram Singh, son of Narinder Singh, resident of Jammu on the Forest land.
The operation was conducted in presence of Tehsildar Chenani Pardeep Kumar and officers of Police Station Kud.
According to the DFO Udhampur, Forest Division, encroachment drive will remain continue in the whole district.
