FORCE highlights issues, demands of private colleges of Education

JAMMU, June 26: During a meeting of members of FORCE (Forum of Recognized Colleges of Education), held here today under the chairmanship of Th G S Charak, former Minister and head of the organization, various issues and problems of the private Colleges of Education were highlighted.
In the beginning, general secretary M S Katoch listed the agenda points, which included the discussion on NAAC accreditation, NEP 2020 and NCTE, besides other issues of importance.
All the members gave their valuable suggestions with regard to functioning of college in Jammu Province. The common issues which came for discussion were the problems being faced by colleges at different quarters besides lack of support from various other authorities in addressing certain urgent problems being faced by the Colleges of Education of Jammu Province.
Finally it was resolved that a committee of core members shall prepare a list of issues to be taken up with University of Jammu and Higher Education Department for their redressal.
It was also resolved in the meeting that the workshop on NEP 2020 shall be organized shortly to apprise member colleges about the new trends in the education sector. Before the conclusion of meeting , Th G S Charak formulated a five member committee for action and highlighting of core issues for the smooth function of Forum.
