DODA, Dec 13: Food Safety Officer, Block Bhaderwah, Incharge Block Gandoh, Mohammad Amin has been placed under suspension by Vinod Sharma, Commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration, J&K.
The suspension of the Food Safety Officer was ordered as he has failed to pursue the interests of the department in the court of law in a suit titled “State through Food Safety Officer I/C Block Gandoh V/s Zulfikar Ali & Ors”, which was subsequently dismissed in default by the Court of Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Gandoh, for his non-appearance on behalf of the department for four consecutive hearings.
Food Safety Officer defaulted further by not informing his superior officers about the dismissal of the case for about three months.
The charge of the Food Safety Officers Bhaderwah and Gandoh have been assigned to Fareed Ahmad Beigh and Farooq Ahmad.
