JAMMU, Oct 13: Continuing its special drive on the eve of Diwali festival, the empowered authorities of Drugs and Food Control Organization, Jammu & Kashmir, inspected various markets to ensure availability of safe and wholesome food articles to the consumers.
During the inspection, a total number of thirty-seven samples of Khoya, Ladoo, Double Toned Milk, Guldana, Burfi, Gulab Jamun, Patisa, Peetha, Milk Cake, Rusgulla, Kishmish, Ghee, Badam Giri etc were lifted and five Kgs of Guldana, 58 kgs of milk, 10 kgs of Khoya and 90 kgs of Rasgulla, 50 kgs of different sweets were destroyed on spot. The above said activities were carried out in the different markets of Municipal limits Jammu, district Samba, district Doda, district Rajouri and District Poonch.
Three challans have been recommended against Rattan Lal son of Amar Nath, New Bus Stand Sunderbani, Tilak Raj son of Parma Nath, New Bus Stand Sunderbani and Subash Chander son of Som Raj, Kalakote for running their business in unhygienic conditions.
