Jammu, June 14: The Folk Theatre Workshop conducted by the Triple “A” Performing Arts Reasi with financial assistance from the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi concluded at Harman Dance Institute here today.
As part of the concluding day today, the children and students who attended the regular week long Folk Theatre Workshop included Kashish Sharma, Harmanjeet Singh, Prachi Bhagat, Manya Sharma, Sanchi Naresh, Gaurav Bharti, Sania Mehra, Hargun Kour, Kashvin Kour, Samridhi Kour, Gurvinder Kour, Niniya Sharma, Shabhit Khajuria, Ashu Sharma, Taymour Khan, Shilpali Devi, Joginder Verma Payal Devi, Rajan Sharma, Bhavneet Kour, Gurtazh Singh, Arzoo Sharma, Mahi Sharma, Bharat Bushan and Ishan Ahmed.
Through a series of warm up exercises, improvisation, theatre activities, performances based on folk art forms like Jatter, Kaarkan and Harn etc. where the participants will be made aware of their rich cultural heritage and age old traditions and presented their own productions like Haran folk theatre, Dandars and Punjabi folk art forms prepared by the workshop participants during workshop.
On the occasion Gourav Sharma ZICC Gandhi Nagar was the chief guest while Rajeev Kumar ZICC Bhalwal was the guest of honour respectively,
Speaking at the concluding function, Sharma said that the children and college students showing interest and taking part in such workshop of performing arts is a positive sign of development of art and culture in the state.
The experts of the workshop also present on the concluded function were Rajesh Ajnabi , M. Akram Khan, J. R. Jackson, Raja Aamir Khan, T. S. Premi, Gourav Kumar, Shadab Khan, Gurvinder Kour and Anil Kumar Director.
