In relation to the wide ranged impact of education it has been proclaimed “SAA VIDYA YAA BIMUKATYA” inferring therein education is that which liberates, unshackles the human beings from the self made barriers, psychological fears confronting the mundane life of the common masses. While sitting in silence, calming down the restless mind for undertaking deeper introspection with focus on transforming and overhauling the prevalent dismal, inefficient and obsolete system of education, the craving mind arrives at a conclusion that the institution of education is too degenerated and gone far astray to produce and deliver noble, sensitive, tolerant human products ever ready to take a lead in the field of social service. This exposes the inherent imbecility and ineffectiveness of the hackneyed system of education going on in the country unchecked and un reviewed.
The emergent situation, therefore, calls for immediate remedial measures. India has fertile potential to nudge and capture the Super power slot. All out efforts have to be launched on war footing on the following lines. substantial improvement in quality of teaching is required. Teaching is a specialized activity. Every Tom, Dick and Harry can not be engaged in this sensitive task. Teaching aptitude and acumen should be explored before offering the job without prejudice to caste, creed, colour and sex. No compromise no dithering on any count. Create net work of well equipped schools, college and universities for matching logistic and infrastructural support providing basic amenities of safe drinking water, separate toilets for girls and boys, spacious playgrounds for games and other extracurricular activities. Introduce mandatory courses for personality development supported by training sessions for learning of yog asans, pranayam, meditation and moral education to cultivate life values , to curb criminal and suicidal tendencies in the promising students. Govt. schools must be properly galvanized and mobilized to attract students and checkmate trading in the field of Education with unhindered mushroom growth of private schools. Foreign model based education needs be revamped as per our own socio-economic conditions as top national priority.
