FMPHWs take out protest rally, demand permanent solution of salary issue

JAMMU, Aug 21: Female Multipurpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) today took out a protest rally demanding release of their five months pending salary and permanent solution of salary related issue.
FMPHWs drawn from different blocks of Jammu district assembled this morning at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar and then in the form of a rally moved towards the office of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
The protesters led by Sushil Sudan, president, Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) and Neelam Kumari, president, FMPHWs Welfare Association raised slogans against Government, demanding release of five months pending salary and permanent solution of Salary Head 2211.
Neelam Kumari, while speaking on the occasion, said that the association has decided unanimously that none of the FMPHWs will take part in the ongoing MR Vaccine (Measles Rubella Vaccine)       which is going to start from 01.09.2018.
All the speakers urged the Government to immediately solve the genuine and burning issue of FMPHWs, failing which they said FMPHWs will be left with no option other than going on an indefinite strike as their families are on the verge of starvation due to non-release of their salaries of last five months.
Those who addressed the protesting workers include Anoop Singh, Madan Sharma, Parfulat Singh, Harpal Singh, Daleep CHoudhary, Ajeet Kumar, Yougal Bakhsi, RP Singh, Promila Devi, Kamla Devi, Soma Devi and others.
Later, the protesting FMPHWs submitted a memorandum of their demands to Divisional Commissioner Jammu through Additional Commissioner.
