JAMMU, July 2: Female Multipurpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) today discussed their demands during a meeting held today in the office chamber of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF).
The meeting was chaired by Sushil Sudan, president of JKMEF while Neelam Kumari, president of FMPHWs was also present. The leaders of FMPHWs’ Association discussed in threadbare the genuine demands of the FMPHWs in the presence of the senior leaders of the JKMEF and assured Female Multipurpose Workers for resolving their all the pending issues such as delinking the CSS salary from the funding sources (Corpus-delinking) and release of pending salary since March 2018.
The main demands that were discussed in the meeting include fixing job functions of FMPHWs at par with other working categories of health sector, upgradation for the post of FMPHW on the analogy of Pharmacist, Lab Techs, X-Ray Tech, Dental Tech and Ophthalmic Tech, creation of the post of LHVs in new PHCs, allotment of 50% quota in favour of trained LHVs at par with MMPHSs promoted as Health Educators and amendment of SRO 20 dated 20-04-1992 which is pending in the Administrative Department for the last 27 years.
The leaders of the association finally requested Governor N N Vohra to redress their demands in a time bound manner to avoid the unwanted agitation for which the employees were being forced by the previous elected Government.
