JAMMU, Feb 3: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today urged upon the Finance Minister (FM), Dr Haseeb Drabu, to immediately issue the notification regarding implementation of the 7th Pay Commission (PC) in favour of its employees and pensioners.
“This notification is necessary so that confusion and uncertainty among the employees of the State Government and pensioners could come to an end”, NMC president, Subhash Shastri said, while addressing a workers meet at Secretary Park in Gandhi Nagar.
Shastri hoped that the Government after taking into account the rising prices and medical expenses, will enhance medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 3000 per month to employees and pensioners, and release the arrears of 7th Pay Commission in cash in one go.
The NMC president also appealed the Union Finance Minister to accept the recommendations of the committee headed by Finance Secretary, Ashok Lavasa, and remove pay anomalies in respect of lower grade pay of staff in different categories, besides total exemption of DA from Income Tax.
