JAMMU, Oct 29: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today appealed the State Finance Minister Dr Hasseb Drabu to allocate funds for implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations in the State in the ensuing annual budget for year 2018-19.
Addressing a well attended workers meet here, NMC president, Subhash Shastri, pointed out that without the provision of budgetary allocation for year 2018-19 budget, the extension of the benefits will not be possible to implement the decision already announced.
“As a proactive action, the Finance Minister (FM) is requested to apportion a separate budget, so that the benefits of the 7th Pay Commission start reaching to the salaried class and pensioners form April 1, 2018 without any hick-up,”he said.
Reiterating his demand of enhancing medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month, Shastri urged FM to take an early decision in this regard so the employees and pensioners would get sigh of relief.
