Flower growers plea to Pervez Dewan

JAMMU, Feb 28: The flower growers of Jammu province noted with concern that the departmental activity particularly commercial floriculture has suffered for last two consecutive seasons. It stressed the authorities that the same should be rejuvenated in future so that the flower growers will be benefited.
The Flower Growers Association which met here today under the leadership of its president Tajinder Singh Wazir has expressed the hope that with the appointment of Kulbushan Kumar Sharma as a Director Floriculture Jammu the Department will pay attention towards this serious issue which is a cause concern of flower growers.
The Association made an appeal to Advisor to Governor,  Parvez Dewan and urged him to accord special attention towards growth and development of  Floriculture industry which has dual benefits. First it is an avenue of employment generation and second it become a recreational for tourism industry.
