JAMMU, Sept 8: Flood Control Contractors Association (FCCA), Jammu has appealed the Government to release their pending payments.
The association said that after the last year’s flood the Deputy Commissioner Jammu as well as other concerned officers requested the contractors of Flood Control Division Jammu to execute necessary flood protection works under SDRF in Jammu district under the overall supervision of the concerned departments.
“Accordingly the contractors of Flood Control executed the important works and incurred crores of rupees but till date no payment has been made even after giving representations to Divisional as well Deputy Commissioner, Jammu”, it said adding that due to negligence of authorities concerned the contractors are suffering a lot due to financial constraints.
The association appealed the authorities concerned to release the pending payments of the contractors without any further delay.
