JAMMU: The flights operation from Jammu and chopper service from Katra to Sanji Chhat remained suspended on Friday in view of dust storm hitting Jammu region.
Dust storm on Friday morning gripped the Jammu region, thus disrupting the normal life.
“Four flights from Jammu Airport Station have been suspended,” an official of Air Authority of India said here.
He said, “the visibility is very poor and the planes could not take off.”
“We are waiting for the visibility to improve so that the postponed flights start operating,” he added.
Due to dust storm, the chopper service for Vaishno Devi pilgrims from Katra to Sanji Chhat also remained suspended.
Meanwhile, dust storm with heat wave made the life miserable for people in Jammu.
