JAMMU, Apr 8: Government has constituted 4 members Committee in 2013 under the chairmanship of Justice (Retd), Bilal Nazki, former Chief Justice of Orissa High Court for fixation of fee structure of Private Educational Institutions across the State.
The Minister of Education, Naeem Akhtar said this while replying to a Calling Attention Notice moved by Dr. Shehnaz Ganai in the Legislative Council today.
The Minister said that the Committee started interaction with the owners of the recognized Private Educational Institutions as well as the parents of the students, teachers employed in these Private Educational Institutions and other stakeholders and issued notice in this behalf.
He said that the Jammu and Kashmir Un-aided Private School Coordination Committee, Kashmir Province, filed a writ petition before the High Court at Srinagar and the High Court vide interim order dated 11-10-2013 passed the direction to maintain status-quo as on date till next date before the bench.
The Minister said that objections stands filed in rebuttal to the claim of the petitioners and matter is pending adjudication before the High Court at Srinagar.
