SRINAGAR, Oct 25: Five structures including two Government high schools were damaged in separate fire incidents in the Valley.
A police spokesman said the fire broke out in the Government High School Goripora at Noorbagh here, resulting in damage to its structure. Fire was brought under control by fire tenders.
Meanwhile, fire broke out in PHE filtration plant quarter at Tohli Hallan in Shopian district, resulting in damage to the quarter.
In another incident, fire broke out in Government Middle School Bon Mohalla at Sumbal in Bandipora district, resulting into partial damage to the building.
The police spokesman said the fire broke out in residential houses of Mohammad Yousuf Wagay and Abdul Rahim Wagay – residents of Hafroo Batpora in Charar-e-Shareef area of Budgam district – resulting in damage to both the structures. Fire was brought under control by fire tenders, he said, adding that no loss of life or injury was reported in these incidents.
