Five killed in separate road accidents

JAMMU, Oct 5: Five persons including a minor were killed in separate road accidents in different parts of Jammu region.
According to a police spokesperson, a minor boy was crushed to death this morning by a truck near Karyani Talab at Narwal. The identity of the deceased has been established as Mohammad Yousaf (7) son of Mushtaq Ahmed of Burma (at present Karyani Talab, Narwal).
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist who had sustained injuries in a road accident yesterday, today succumbed at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu during treatment. The deceased has been identified as Bacchitar Singh son of Himmat Singh of Simbal Camp. He was injured when the motorcycle he was riding on collided with a truck at Simbal Camp. Police have seized the truck and started investigation in this regard.
A motorcyclist identified as Amjad Farooq (25) son of Farooq Ahmed of Mandi Poonch was seriously injured yesterday when his bike collided with a Bolero in Kathua. He was immediately shifted to GMCH where he succumbed to his injuries today.
In Jajjhar Kotli, a pedestrian was killed after he was crushed by a car last night. The deceased was identified as Yog Raj (27) son of Paras Ram of Saketar. The body of the deceased was shifted to GMCH, where after conducting postmortem, it was handed over to its legal heirs.
A man was also killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a truck at Samba Morh. The deceased has been identified as Paramjeet Singh (21) of Rajasthan (presently staying at Bari Brahmana). The accident had happened yesterday morning and the victim succumbs to his injuries late last night At GMCH.
