Five injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Jan 15: Five persons were injured today in separate road accidents in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a pedestrian identified as Taro Devi (90) wife of Munshi Ram, resident of Kot Bhalwal, was hit and injured by a bike near her home. Another pedestrian namely Anil Malhotra (47) son of Kali Ram, resident of Rajpura Magotrian, got fractured one of his legs, when he was hit by an unknown vehicle at Shaktinagar.
A 12-year-old girl namely Bisma Malik, daughter of Mushtaq Hussain, resident of Mastgarh, sustained injuries after she was hit by a car here at Peer Kho. In Bus Stand area of Jammu, a mini-bus hit and injured a pedestrian identified as Sunil Kumar (24) son of Sham Lal, resident of Akhnoor.
A pedestrian namely Munawair Hussain (24) son of Gulam Abbas, resident of Ladakh, suffered injuries after a Swift car hit him at flyover in the jurisdiction of police station Nowabad.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
