Five injured in mishaps

SRINAGAR, May 21: Police today said five persons were injured in different road accidents across the valley.
A police spokesman said a scooty bearing registration number JK04D-2209 collided with a motorcycle bearing registration number JK04D-5775 at Wadipora village of Budgam district, resulting in serious injuries to the motorcyclist. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment, he said, adding that police have registered a case in this regard.
The spokesman said an unknown vehicle hit and injure a girl identified as Tahira Bano near Government Degree College Handwara in Kupwara district. The injured girl was shifted to District Hospital Handwara for treatment, he said, adding that police have registered a case and investigation has been taken up to nab the driver.
The spokesman said a motorcycle bearing registration number JK03D-9193 hit and injure a lady identified as Mubeena wife at Peertakiya in Kokernag area of Anantnag district. “The injured lady was shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for treatment,” he said, adding that police have registered a case in this regard.
The spokesman said a Vehicle Alto K-10 car bearing registration number Jk03 C-1307 hit and injure a pedestrian identified as Dr Mohammad Yousuf Dar at Halmulla village of Sangam in Anantnag district. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment,” he said, adding that police have registered a case in this regard.
The police spokesman said a motorcycle bearing registration number DL-65AF -2693 hit and injure a pedestrian identified as Gulzar Ahmad Sheikh at Seer Hamdan in  Mattan area of Anantnag district. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment,” he said, adding that police have registered a case in this regard.
