Five hurt in road mishaps

Srinagar, Mar 28: Police today said five persons were injured in different road accidents in Valley.
A police spokesman said a motorcycle bearing registration number JK03A/0928 driven by Aadil Ahmad Bhat collided with a Tavera bearing registration number JK03C/9405 driven by Zahoor Ahmad Wani at KP road in Mattan area of Anantnag district, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment, he said, adding that police have registered a case in this regard.
The spokesman said a Maximo vehicle bearing registration number JK09A-2078 driven by Javaid Ahmad Sheikh skidded off the road at village Krampora in Vilgam area of Kupwara district, resulting in injuries to driver of the vehicle. “The injured was shifted to District Hospital Handwara for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
The spokesman said an auto  load carrier bearing registration number JK16-3732 driven by Imtiyaz Ahmad Rather collided with a sumo bearing registration number JK07-1219 at Nunner in Ganderbal district, resulting in injuries to auto driver  and a pedestrian lady namely Noora Begum. “Both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Ganderbal for treatment where from they were shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
The spokesman said a Wagon-R car bearing registration number JK01S-6766 driven by Ashiq Majid skidded off the road near CM residence in city here, resulting in injuries to the driver of the vehicle. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
