JAMMU, Sept 7: During Hindi fortnight, a five days Hindi workshop was organized from August 31 to September 4 at Frontier Headquarter BSF Jammu. Twenty four personnel of various branches of Ftr HQ, Battalions, Sector Headquarters and Subsidiary Training Centre Udhampur have participated in the workshop.
The Workshop was organized under the directions of Rakesh Sharma, Inspector General, Ftr HQ BSF Jammu. During the workshop, Inspector (Translator) has laid emphasis on the use of Hindi in official correspondence, its implementation, types of Hindi correspondence, Noting/ Drafting and various encouragement schemes etc.
In compliance of the instructions of Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Official Language, New Delhi, workshop is organized in Frontier Headquarter Border Security Force Jammu in every quarter. Besides, other aspects of use of Hindi, various difficulties and hesitations experienced by participants in their routine official use have been sorted out in the said workshop. During the closing of workshop, all participants have committed themselves for doing maximum work in Hindi in their respective offices. During closing ceremony, Surinder Kumar Sharma, Dy Commandant Hindi Officer thanked and appreciated all participants for their active participation in the workshop.
