JAMMU, Mar 28: National Theatre Festival for five days was inaugurated by Sohail Kazami, Social Activist, at Abhinav Theatre here today.
The festival has been organized by Abhinaya Kala Manch Reasi and supported by Union Ministry of Culture in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL).
Padam Shri Dr. S.P Verma, president Gandhi Global Family J&K presided over the function while Secretary JKAACL Bharat Singh was the guest of honour along with Tariq Khan, film maker.
Danesh Gupta, former Secretary Red Cross & S. Harbinder Singh Mehta, NRI were special guests. Shadab Khan, Director AKM Reasi delivered welcome address and the Festival opened with Badal Sarkar’s Bengali play ‘Pagla Ghoda’ translated in Hindi by Pratibha Agarwal and presented by Hill Thespians, a theatre group of Jammu.
Artist who performed in the play were Sunaina Kumari, Sunil Sharma, Javed Gill, Neeraj Sethi and Shubham Rajput.
Lights were designed by Ankit Sharma, sound by Rishiv Prabhakar, costumes by Jan Mohammed and Hall Management was done by Vishal Gupta and Rajinder Gupta.
