For first time, BJP to celebrate Dogra’s birthday at booth level

JAMMU,  Oct 18: For the first time BJP will observe the birth day of Sher-e-Duggar falling on October 24 at booth level in entire Jammu region.
In this connection, various programmes will be held by the Party to remember and recall the role of the former National president of Bharatiya Jana Sangh which was later rechristened as BJP and founder of Praja Parishad Movement. Besides the booth level programmes, functions will be held at district and State level also.
The BJP is also organizing sports programmes as Pt Prem Nath Dogra was a good sportsman and a foot ball player. The prominent sports persons of the State will also be honoured, BJP general secretary, Pawan Khajuria told Excelsior.
He said the programme was finalized in a meeting of the Party office bearers here today. The meeting among others was attended by BJP State Secretary, Vikram Randhwa, State spokespersons, Brig (retd) Anil Gupta and Balbir Ram Rattan, Mahila Morcha State president, Purnima Sharma, BJYM State president, Dr Ajay Magotra , IT Department incharge Jaidev Rajwal, district presidents Baldev Singh Billoria and Ayodhya Gupta, district general secretaries, Vinay Gupta, Sunil Sharma  and professional Cell co-convenor Vikul Gupta.
He said besides, Accession Day on October 26 will also be celebrated by the Party in a befitting way to silence all those voices who challenge J&K’s accession with Indian Union. In this connection a seminar will be held in Party Office and in the evening a grant function will be held at Tawi bridge where the Maharaja’s statue has been installed to recall his role.
In addition to it, the Martyr Day of Brig Rajinder Singh will also be celebrated in a befitting way on October 27 at his native village and on November 3 Martyrdom Day of Major Soom Nath Sharma will be also be celebrated in a grand way and in this connection a function will be held by party at Shaheedi Sthal near Bahu Fort.
