First skill convocation organised at ITI Jammu

JAMMU, Sept 17: Government Industrial Training Institute Jammu and Women ITI Jammu organized first ‘Skill Convocation Ceremony’ for ITI pass outs of different NCVT trades, here today.
S. Santhimanalan, Regional Director, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship J&K, Ladakh & Himachal Pradesh, was the chief guest, while Ramesh Chander, ADDC, Jammu was the guest of honour and Rajendra Kumar, Deputy Director ITI Jammu, Rajesh Kumar Banotra, Vice Principal, ITI Jammu and Rajesh Gupta, Superintendent Govt. ITI for Women Jammu and RS Pura  were also present during the event.
The Vice Principal, Rajesh Kumar Banotra welcomed all the dignitaries, staff members, trainees and congratulated ITI pass outs for achieving merits in their NCVT results, while Principal ITI Jammu, Rajendra Kumar also highlighted the achievements of the Institute.
The ADDC Jammu stressed upon more awareness among the youth for attaining skill training and he also congratulated staff members, Instructors for providing quality education and trainees for their success, whereas the chief guest in his addresses highlighted the benefits of convocations and opportunities by the Government of India. He also congratulated the organizers for such events.
The Regional Director and other dignitaries distributed medals as well as merit certificates to the trainees who attained 1st, 2nd and 3rd rank in their designated trades respectively.
Nazir Ahmed Molvi, National Vice President United Federation of India lauded the hard work of all the faculty members of the department concerned.
The vote of thanks was presented by Rajesh Gupta, Superintendent Women ITI Jammu.
