SRINAGAR, May 27: The member of the Hajj Committee of India (HCI), Aijaz Hussain today said that the first Hajj-2022 flight from J&K will take off from Srinagar International Airport on June 5 while all the flights will flow directly to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
He told Excelsior that this year around 6000 Hajj pilgrims will be carrying out the pilgrimage from J&K and that all the necessary arrangements in this regard have been made.
“The first flight will take off from Srinagar on June 5 and all the flights will flow directly to Jeddah from Srinagar International Airport,” he said.
It is pertinent to mention here that this year one million Muslims from across the globe will perform Hajj 2022 while there have been clear and direct SOPs issued in this regard.
Concerning the total number of Hajj pilgrims from India, nearly 83000 Muslims will carry out the holy journey this year.
