First batch of Mani Mahesh Yatra leaves for HP

BHADERWAH, Aug 7: The first batch of Mani Mahesh Yatra left for Himachal Pradesh this afternoon.
This yatra have two phases and these devotees will take holy dip in Mani Mahesh on the eve of Shri Krishna Janamashtmi.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Himachal Pradesh Government permitted only nine persons with holly mace.
These devotees are allowed to travel in three vehicles and will stay today at Chamba. Tomorrow they will proceed to Mani Mahesh from Chamba.
Every year thousand of devotees from Doda, Ramban, Kishtwar and other districts of UT J&K visit to Mani Mahesh.
The second phase of Yatra will start from Bhaderwah on Janamashtmi and will perform pooja on Nag Panchmi at Mani Mahesh.
The pilgrims have entered in Himachal Pradesh state border at Langera.
Local administration was present at Laxmi Narayan Temple Bhaderwah.
