JAMMU, Oct 4: Gandhi Nagar Hospital today conducted a mock drill on fire in the hospital premises in which various agencies including hospital administration, Fire Brigade, Police, Civil Defence etc were involved.
Medical Superintendent, Gandhi Nagar Hospital, Dr Romesh Gupta said the drill was conducted to check preparedness of the hospital staff and other agencies to meet with any eventuality in the hospital.
The drill lasted two hours and was successful, Dr Gupta said, adding that all agencies acted promptly and played their role.
Initially, there was some panic among the patients and their attendants but they were later told that it was a mock drill. Later, everything went smooth and the drill concluded successfully, Dr Gupta added.
