JAMMU, May 14: A fire broke out in a plastic factory godown at Industrial area Gangyal here today.
As per police sources, a fire broke out in a plastic factory godown at Industrial Area Gangyal.
After getting information, police rushed to the spot and fire tenders along with fire fighters were pressed into service to douse the flames.
Around 12 fire tenders were pressed into services from Bari Brahmana, Gangyal, Gandhi Nagar, Roop Nagar and Kachi Chawni fire stations to douse the flames.
After hectic efforts of several hours, the fire was brought under control and 70 per cent of the goods were saved from getting gutted.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
Joint Director Fire and Emergency Services, RT Dubey was personally supervising the fire fighting operation.
