Srinagar, Jan 12: A fire broke out in District Industrial Centre, Kupwara today resulting in damage to the raw material stored in the building.
Reports said that the fire emerged from an Aluminium Unit set up in the centre which is situated in Branwari area of the district.
Soon after the blaze, fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control with the help of the locals, however, the intensity of the damage caused could not be ascertained.
In the fire incident, the material used in the manufacturing of banners, signage and billboards worth lakhs was damaged.
The local police soon after the incident deputed a team to the spot to gather the details. The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained when this report was being filed.
