Fine tune security measures to avoid any trouble to masses:IGP

There was a need to fine tune and strategies security measures to provide a conducive security atmosphere in the Valley by dealing effectively with terrorism and law and order issues and avoid any trouble to the people, Kashmir’s Inspector General of Police Abdul Gani Mir today said.
“The security measures need to be fine tuned and strategies to provide a conducive security atmosphere. Our focus to effectively deal with terrorism and law and order issues should be refined to avoid any trouble for the general masses,” the IGP Mir said while chairing a security review meeting here.
The IGP reviewed the progress on training, deployments and strategies to maintain law and order in Kashmir zone during the meeting and threadbare discussions were held to synergies the security in the Valley, a police spokesman said.
Mir said providing secure environment to the people should always be on the mind of the forces while devising security strategies.
He laid emphasis on coordination between various agencies involved in the maintenance of law and order.
Addressing the meeting, Inspector General, Operations, CRPF Nalin Prabhat said “we should never let our guards down and discount sinister designs of the vested interests that are always lurking to create trouble in the State and we should always strive to mange any security challenge that comes across”.
Top officers of police and paramilitary CRPF attended the meeting, the spokesman said. (AGENCIES)
