JAMMU, Feb 26: Financial literacy and awareness programme was organised at Sant Raseela Ram Ashram, Sarore by branch office Sarore under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural, Chairman J&K Grameen Bank.
With this, J&K Grameen Bank completed NABARD project under FIF of conducting 300 village level programmes and 186 Financial and Digital Literacy awareness programmes for FY 2019-20.
During the programme, Chairman, J&K Grameen Bank felicitated members of various Self Help Groups and also distributed sanction letters among the beneficiaries under various sponsored schemes. Meritorious students of the Government Middle School, Sarore were also felicitated by the Chairman. Moreover, members of a prominent Farmer Club, Mahesh Farmers Club presided by Ram Murti Sharma, were felicitated for their extraordinary work towards growth and development of the region.
He instructed all the present bank officials that as already instructed through various means that 100 per cent coverage of farmers under KCC is to be ensured without fail. He further said that various social security schemes like APY, PMSBY, PMJJBY and PMJDY accounts are available in the Bank. As such, he urged the gathering to enjoy their benefits and spread awareness among their peers.
DK Bali, General Manager, J&K Grameen Bank, DD Gupta, Chief, Audit Inspection and Vigilance, J&K Grameen Bank, Ram Murti Sharma, Chairman, Mahesh Farmers Club and Regional Manager, Jammu, J&K Grameen Bank, Sahil Sharma also expressed their views.
Shivani AEO Agriculture Department, Amit from Agriculture Department, Vinod Kumar Charak Sarpanch of Upper Panchayat, Sarore, Sagar Ex Sarpanch of the area, Tilak Raj Retd Headmaster, Des Raj Trustee of Sant Raseela Ram Ashram, Sarore, besides Head of Departments of the Bank namely Ajay Bharti, Ram Paul Sharma and Pawan Gupta were also present on the occasion.
